Maison Bloomfield

Le client de cette demeure ancestrale des années 1920-1930 souhaitait transformer son sous-sol en bachelor, mais celui-ci présentait plusieurs défis complexes, comme des plafonds bas et une tuyauterie apparente omniprésente, qui écrasait encore plus le lieu.

En retravaillant les volumes, nous avons réussi à donner un sentiment de hauteur et de grandeur partout dans l’appartement. Le choix de couleurs douces, de matériaux nobles et la bonne intégration de l’éclairage insufflent une atmosphère claire et chaleureuse dans chaque zone. Du walk-in attenant à la chambre à coucher en passant par la cuisine étroite le mudroom, toutes les pièces sont pensées dans le but d’optimiser la fonctionnalité. Un coin bar, un bureau et un cinéma maison à la fine pointe de la technologie complètent cet univers résolument masculin grâce à des insertions de bois foncé.

The client of this ancestral home, dating to around 1930, wanted to make the basement into a bachelor’s suite. We faced several challenges for this transformation, including low ceilings and visible pipes everywhere, which made the space feel cramped.

By modifying the volumes, we provided a sense of height and spaciousness to the apartment. Soft colors, quality materials and well-integrated lighting created a light and warm atmosphere in each zone. From the bedroom walk-in closet to the mudroom and narrow kitchen, all the rooms were thought out to optimize functionality. The unapologetically masculine space features a bar, office and high-tech home theatre accented by dark wood inserts.
